獄鬼畜中酬償先業，三塗報盡，還復人身，順後善業所招，隨別復分十類，如是皆為顛倒輪轉。欲息顛倒，唯戒定慧，無此三種不息輪迴。佛若不出，誰說此法令其修學，免輪迴耶！

Compensating for past karma among hells, ghosts, and animals, once retribution in the three paths ends, they regain human bodily forms. Incurred by the good karma that follows, they are again divided into ten categories according to distinctions; all such are upsidedown transmigration. If one wishes to quell upside-down [karmas], there are only discipline, concentration, and wisdom; without these three, cyclic existence cannot be quelled. If the Buddha did not appear in the world, who could expound this Dharma to have them cultivate and study it and escape cyclic existence?
