「如摩登伽殊為眇劣，彼唯呪汝，破佛律儀，八萬行中秖毀一戒，心清淨故尚未淪溺，此乃墮汝寶覺全身。如宰臣家忽逢籍沒，宛轉零落，無可哀救。」

'For instance, Mātaṅgī was exceedingly petty and inferior; she merely used a spell upon you to break the Buddha's vinaya rules, violating only a single precept among the eighty thousand practices. Because your mind was pure, you were not yet submerged; but this [māra] will cause the entire body of your precious awakening to fall. It is like the house of a chief minister suddenly meeting with confiscation of registry: tossed about and cast adrift, with no one to pity and rescue him.'
