「又以此心精研妙明，觀察不停，抑按降伏，制止超越，於時忽然十方虛空成七寶色或百寶色，同時遍滿，不相留礙，青黃赤白各各純現。此名抑按功力逾分。暫得如是，非為聖證。不作聖心名善境界，若作聖解即受群邪。」

"Further, as this mind meticulously investigates the wondrous clarity, contemplating and examining without pause, suppressing and subduing, checking and going beyond, at that time the empty space of the ten directions suddenly takes on the colours of the seven jewels or the hundred jewels, filling everywhere simultaneously without mutual hindrance, with blue, yellow, red, and white each appearing in their purity. This is called the effort of suppression exceeding its proper measure. It is an experience attained temporarily and is not a noble realization. If he does not generate a notion of holiness, it is called a wholesome state; but if he adopts an interpretation of holiness, he will succumb to a host of demons."
