定功研妙，觀察逾深。制止既過，寶色分現。本為制止分別，今由過分，異境却生，與心相違，豈非魔事？不起取心，自然消歇。如前文云「不取無非幻，非幻尚不生，幻法云何立？」

The practice of concentration investigates the wondrous, and contemplation becomes ever deeper. Since checking has gone too far, jewel colours separately appear. Originally it was for checking discrimination, but now, because of excess, a strange state arises instead, which runs contrary to the mind; how could this not be a demonic matter? If one does not give rise to a grasping mind, it will naturally subside. As the previous text says: 'If one does not grasp, nothing is not an illusion; when even non-illusion does not arise, how could illusory dharmas be established?'
