"Further, as this mind enters completely into empty blending, his four limbs suddenly become like grass and trees, having no sensation even when burned by fire or hacked by knives. Furthermore, the glow of fire cannot burn or scorch him, and even if his flesh is cut, it is just like paring wood. This is called the dusts merging, displacing the nature of the four great elements, and entering single-mindedly into purity. It is an experience attained temporarily and is not a noble realization. If he does not generate a notion of holiness, it is called a wholesome state; but if he adopts an interpretation of holiness, he will succumb to a host of demons."
