"Complete" means pervasive; "enters" means arriving through contemplation. With this concentrated mind he pervasively realizes everything: his own body and other objects are all empty and quiescent. This is the mind blending and thought becoming quiescent, appropriation no longer functioning, and the four great elements and five dusts being suddenly displaced and merged. Since there is no longer that which can appropriate, cutting and slicing are like [cutting through] empty space. When thought becomes unified and pure, this is temporarily attained.
