定力微故忘失恒審，慧力過故溺於知見。定慧若均，寂照無二。慧力既過，故溺知見，即前失於猛利也。此則勝解忽生，引起見取種子，執劣為勝，故此現也。

Because the power of samādhi is weak, they forget constant investigation; because the power of wisdom is excessive, they drown in knowledge and views. If samādhi and wisdom are balanced, stillness and illumination are non-dual. Since the power of wisdom is excessive, they drown in knowledge and views, which is the aforementioned 'losing their sharpness.' Here, superior understanding suddenly arises, inducing seeds of grasping at views and holding what is inferior to be superior; hence this manifests.
