「又彼定中諸善男子見色陰銷，受陰明白，自謂已足，忽有無端大我慢起，如是乃至慢與過慢及慢過慢，或增上慢或卑劣慢一時俱發，心中尚輕十方如來，何況下位聲聞、緣覺。」

"Further, when these good sons in samādhi see the aggregate of form dissolve and the aggregate of sensation become clear, they consider themselves already satisfied, and groundless, great arrogance suddenly arises. This proceeds to arrogance, excessive arrogance, arrogance beyond arrogance, or arrogance of overestimation, or arrogance of inferiority—all erupting at once. In their minds, they even look down upon the tathāgatas of the ten directions, not to mention the lower stages of śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas."
