9.355

「爾時天魔候得其便，飛精附人，口說經法，其人元不覺知魔著，亦言自得無上涅槃，來彼求應善男子處，敷座說法。能令聽眾暫見其身如百千歲，心生愛染，不能捨離，身為奴僕，四事供養不覺疲勞，各各令其座下人心知是先師，本善知識，別生法愛，粘如膠漆，得未曾有。是人愚迷，惑為菩薩，親近其心，破佛律儀，潛行貪欲。」

"At that time, the heavenly demon, waiting to seize the opportunity, flies its essence to possess a person, who preaches the sūtras and Dharma with his mouth. That person originally does not realize that a demon has possessed him, and also claims that he has personally attained unsurpassable nirvāṇa. He comes to the place of that good man who is seeking resonance, arranges a seat, and preaches the Dharma. He can cause the listeners to momentarily see his body as if it were hundreds of thousands of years old; love and craving arise in their minds, and they cannot bear to leave him. Becoming his servants, they provide the four requisites without feeling weary. He causes each person under his seat to know in mind that he is their former teacher, their original spiritual friend; a separate Dharma-attachment arises, sticking fast like glue and lacquer, having obtained what they had never had before. These people are foolish and deluded, mistaking him for a bodhisattva; drawing near to his mind, they breach the Buddha's vinaya rules and secretly practice lustful desires."
