"Ānanda, it is like a person who snorts forcefully through the nose: snorting for a long time produces fatigue, and then they perceive a cold sensation in the nose, and based on this sensation they distinguish unobstructedness and obstruction, emptiness and fullness, and so forth up to all fragrances and foul odors. Both the nose and the fatigue are together the marks of staring fixedly and producing fatigue within bodhi."
