Pūrṇa said: "If this wondrous enlightenment is originally wondrous, enlightened, and bright, neither increasing nor decreasing with the Tathāgata's mind, why without reason did there suddenly arise mountains, rivers, the great earth, and all conditioned marks? Now that the Tathāgata has attained wondrous, empty, and bright enlightenment, when will the mountains, rivers, the great earth, and conditioned outflows and habit-energies arise again?"
