Clear enlightenment is without arising, yet an object-mark is falsely formed. Once the object is falsely established, your false subject is produced; within the objective clarity, it divides into the four great elements, and within the subjective awareness, it branches into the six sense faculties. The six sense faculties and the four great elements intermingle with each other, churning within the clear, round clarity to form turbid marks; this is identical to what the Awakening of Faith describes as 'the non-arising and non-ceasing harmonised with arising and ceasing, which is named the ālayavijñāna.' From this mind of consciousness, the world is transformed and produced, which is the meaning of turbidity.
