Thereupon Ānanda and the great assembly all heard Tathāgatas [as numerous as] dust motes of the ten directions with different mouths and one voice say to Ānanda: "Excellent, Ānanda! If you wish to recognize the innate avidyā that causes your knot of transmigration in birth-and-death, it is solely your six faculties, and nothing else. If you also wish to know unsurpassed bodhi, enabling you to swiftly realize peaceful, blissful liberation and quiescent, wondrous constancy, it is likewise your six faculties, and nothing else."
