Thereupon, Ānanda and the great assembly attained great opening and disclosure, their bodies and minds completely clear. Contemplating the Buddha's bodhi and great nirvāṇa, it was just like someone who had traveled far on business and had not yet returned home, but clearly understood the road leading back to his house. The universally assembled great crowd—the eight classes of gods and nāgas, those with training of the two vehicles, and all the newly resolved bodhisattvas, numbering as many as ten sands of the Ganges—all attained their fundamental mind, left dust and separated from defilement, and obtained purity of the Dharma eye. The nun Prakṛti, having heard the verses spoken, became an arhat. Immeasurable sentient beings all brought forth the peerless mind of anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhi.
