"If after my parinirvāṇa, there are sentient beings in the final age who can recite it themselves or teach others to recite it, you should know that such beings who recite and uphold it cannot be burned by fire, cannot be drowned by water, and cannot be harmed by great or small poisons. In this way, down to all evil spells of nāgas, devas, ghosts, spirits, sprites, and demons, none can touch them, and their minds will attain right absorption. All curses, sorcery, toxic drugs, gold poisons, silver poisons, vegetation, worms, snakes, and all poisonous vapors will become the taste of sweet dew upon entering this person's mouth. All malefic stars, as well as ghosts and spirits with cruel minds and poisonous hearts, will not be able to raise evil against such a person. Vināyakas, all evil ghost kings, and their retinues will all acknowledge deep grace and constantly provide protection."
