The true mind is like the vessel, the inversions are the poisonous honey, the hot water and so forth are morality, concentration, and wisdom, washing is cultivation, and the amṛta is the forbearance of non-arising dharmas. If there were originally no defilement, there would also be no cultivation and realization. Since there is cultivation and realization, it must be endowed with various causes; therefore these three kinds are all fundamental.
