2.37

From "if in terms of" downwards: the three teachings each possess the meaning of "great" within their own sphere. But looking towards the perfect teaching, the former three are not great; hence the *Da zhidu lun* says, "According to my strength I now wish to expound / The meaning of the true mark of the other shore of great wisdom." One should know that great wisdom is precisely the contemplation that contemplates the true mark of all phenomena.
