通辨羯磨篇第五（《明了論疏》翻為業也，所作是業。亦翻為所作。《百論》云事也。若約義求，翻為辨事。謂施造遂法，必有成濟之功焉。）

Chapter 5: General Elucidation of Karman (The Commentary on the Vinayavibhāṣā translates it as 'action' (karman); that which is done is action. It is also translated as 'that which is done'. The Śata-śāstra calls it 'affair'. If sought according to the meaning, it is translated as 'discharging affairs'. This means that by carrying out and bringing about the rite, there must be the efficacy of accomplishment.)
