五眾法對首，如自恣等。一者人非，四人秉法，第五受欲，或非淨戒，知而同法。二者法非，互不相陳，說不明了等。三者事非，時非夏末，眾難不具等。四非已下，亦如前例。

Fifth, communal face-to-face [rites], such as pravāraṇā, etc. First, defect in person: four persons perform the rite and a fifth receives chanda, or [a participant] does not possess pure precepts yet knowingly shares the rite with them. Second, defect in rite: mutually failing to declare to each other, speaking indistinctly, and so forth. Third, defect in matter: the time is not the end of summer, the saṃgha's obstacles are not fully present, and so forth. The fourth defect and below are also by analogy as before.
