問：僧尼更互得作幾法。答：律中《十誦》：尼為僧作不禮、不共語、不敬畏問訊，此三羯磨不須現前、自言。僧為尼，亦得三法：謂受戒、摩那埵、出罪。餘不互通。

Question: How many rites may monks and nuns perform mutually for one another? Answer: In the Vinaya, the Daśādhyāya-vinaya states: nuns may perform three karmans for monks: not paying obeisance, not speaking with them, and not respectfully inquiring after their health; these three karmans do not require the presence of the recipient or self-declaration. Monks may also perform three rites for nuns: namely, upasampadā, mānatva, and mānatva rehabilitation (āvāhana). Other rites are not mutually shared.
