問：一標作兩相，得不？答：一肘已上作者準得。《明了論疏》中：如一大山，東西各結別住。又云：二繩別住等。準此，大牆等類，可分別者，皆得為之。

Question: May one marker be made into two boundary marks? Answer: In principle, if it is one cubit (hasta) or more, it is permissible. In the Commentary on the Vinayavibhāṣā: as with one large mountain, a separate boundary (parivāsa) is demarcated on the east and on the west respectively. It also says: two cords for separate boundaries, and so forth. In accordance with this, large walls and the like, wherever they can be distinguished, may all be used for this.
