九破僧。即法輪僧也；若破羯磨僧，非難。十出佛身血。此二難佛滅後無也。《僧祇律》注云：佛久涅槃，依舊文問耳。

Ninth is creating a schism in the saṃgha. This refers to the saṃgha of the wheel of the Dharma; if it is a schism in a karman saṃgha, it is not an impediment. Tenth is shedding the blood of a Buddha's body. These two impediments do not exist after the Buddha's parinirvāṇa. The note in the Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya says: The Buddha has long since entered nirvāṇa; the question is asked merely following the old text.
