大段第二正明受體。若至此時，正須廣張，示導發戒正宗；不得但言起上品心，則受者知何是上品？徒自枉問。今薄示相貌，臨事未必誦文。

Major Section Two: Directly explaining the essence of the precepts received. When arriving at this point, one must precisely elaborate and expound, guiding and initiating the fundamental principle of generating the precepts; one must not merely speak of giving rise to a superior mind, for how would the recipient know what constitutes a superior mind? It would merely be asking in vain. Now I will briefly illustrate the characteristics; when facing the event, one does not necessarily recite the text.
