第三方者。《論》曰：觀業聚學處，為簡擇四部等眾者。四部謂四僧。僧雖位四，今此懺境，前二四人僧，後一二十眾，異此則不成。若行時假境說者，前一下至有一人，次一局對僧，出罪一席法。

Regarding the third method: The treatise states: 'Observing the training precepts belonging to categories of karma in order to screen the assemblies such as the four divisions.' The four divisions refer to the four saṃghas. Although the positions of the saṃgha are four, in the present context of repentance, the first two are a saṃgha of four persons, and the latter one is an assembly of twenty; anything different from this does not succeed. If spoken in terms of provisional situations when practicing: the first one goes down to having one person, the next one is restricted to facing the saṃgha, and rehabilitation is an affair of one full assembly.
