二能授淨人，四法：一淨漉與時食別（謂脂除肉，油除滓等）；二火煎煮；三水滴淨；四施心授與，心相領當。

Second, the conferring kappiyakāraka has four requirements: (1) straining it clear to distinguish it from time-appropriate food (such as removing meat from fat, or removing dregs from oil); (2) boiling it with fire; (3) purifying it with drops of water; and (4) conferring it with the intention to give, with minds mutually corresponding.
