八塚間坐者。《十住論》謂：在死人間住者，隨順厭離心故。常止宿死人間有十利：一常得無常想。二得死想。三得不淨想。四一切世間不可樂想。五常得遠離一切所愛人。六常得悲心。七遠離戲調。八心常厭離。九勤行精進。十能除怖畏。

Eighth, sitting in a charnel ground: The Daśabhūmika-vibhāṣā states: "Dwelling among dead people is done to accord with a mind of renunciation." Constantly staying among dead people has ten benefits: (1) constantly attaining the perception of impermanence; (2) attaining the perception of death; (3) attaining the perception of impurity; (4) the perception that all worldly things are joyless; (5) constantly being able to stay away from all beloved persons; (6) constantly attaining a mind of compassion; (7) distancing oneself from frivolity and banter; (8) the mind is constantly renounced; (9) diligently exerting vigorous effort; (10) being able to eliminate fear.
