3.300

如此等，在寺中，竭力而行。所為事訖，辭出寺門，如法作禮（佛前三拜，至門一拜，門外又一拜；若僧少時，次第各禮一拜，多者總禮三拜）。凡以穢俗之身，入寺踐金剛淨剎法地，自多乖於儀式；若去時，須自贖其過，隨施多少，示有不空（若布絹、香油、澡豆、華水，下至掃地除糞）。

Such practices as these, while in the monastery, should be carried out with all one's effort. When one's business is finished, taking leave to depart from the monastery gate, one makes prostrations according to the Dharma (three prostrations before the Buddha, one prostration upon reaching the gate, and another prostration outside the gate; if the monks are few, make one prostration to each in sequence; if they are many, make three prostrations collectively). Generally, entering the monastery with an impure secular body to tread upon the Dharma ground of the vajra pure monastery mostly runs contrary to proper ceremony; when leaving, one must redeem one's faults by making offerings according to one's means to demonstrate that one did not come in vain (whether cloth, silk, fragrant oil, bathing powder, flowers, and water, down to sweeping the ground and removing dung).
