沙門釋侶，三界之賓；逆旅之況，頗存於此。故律中曲制主客待遇雜行云云。就中分四。

Śramaṇas and disciples of the Śākya are guests of the three realms; the condition of being in an inn is very much present here. Therefore, in the Vinaya, detailed regulations on the miscellaneous practices of host and guest hospitality are set forth. Within this there are four parts.
