《撰集百緣經》：掃地五德：一自除心垢，二亦除他垢，三去憍慢，四調伏心，五增長功德得生善處。
The *Avadānaśataka* says: Sweeping the ground has five virtues: first, it removes the defilements of one's own mind; second, it also removes the defilements of others; third, it eliminates arrogance; fourth, it regulates and subdues the mind; and fifth, it increases merit, enabling one to be reborn in a good realm.
