次為說六念法，大同僧中；不同俗人佛法僧等六也；由制通沙彌故。至第三念時云：「我今年若干，某年月日時，受十戒。」以律制生年次第，又出家年次第，二俱須知。

Next, explain the practice of the six recollections for them, largely identical to that in the saṃgha; not the same as the lay six of the Buddha, Dharma, Saṃgha, and so forth; because the regulation generally applies to śrāmaṇeras. When arriving at the third recollection, say: 'My age this year is such-and-such; on such-and-such year, month, day, and hour, I received the ten precepts.' For the Vinaya regulates precedence by biological age, and also precedence by years since renunciation; both must be known.
