準此，僧中，於布薩日，豫差一人，擬受囑授。於己房外，設一床座，尼至時來，餘人示之。彼尼至房所，囑授者詣座坐，令一比丘為伴，立之。受尼語已，告云：「待日晚說戒時，為諮眾僧，未知有不？」然尼眾為欲別請，為依僧次，隨語答領。又告云：「明日可來此，問取進不？」尼便辭退。

According to this, among the monks, on the upoṣadha day, one person is delegated in advance to receive the entrustment. Outside his own room, a seat is arranged; when the nuns arrive, other persons direct them. When those nuns reach the room, the one entrusted goes to the seat and sits, having one bhikṣu stand beside him as a companion. Having received the nun's words, he addresses them: "Wait until this evening at the time of reciting the precepts, when I will consult the saṃgha to see if there is anyone or not." However, as to whether the community of nuns wishes to make a specific request or rely on the saṃgha's seniority order, he replies and receives it according to their words. He also addresses them: "Tomorrow you may come here to ask whether it has been accepted or not." The nun then takes her leave and departs.
