《僧祇》五別：一捨入僧無盡財中。謂畜貿二寶，若生息利，作僧房舍中衣；僧不得分用及食，為折伏本主貪心故。二捨入僧用。謂五臥具、迴僧物，隨僧作何等用；其中純黑憍奢耶，僧不得著用，得作地敷，及作嚮慊、悵慢等；六年不揲，不得為地敷，僧得著用，不得𭣋身；白毛臥具，好者如前，不好者如後。餘同。

The Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya has five distinctions: First, forfeiting [property] to enter the inexhaustible property of the saṃgha. This refers to keeping and trading the two treasures; if interest and profit are generated, they are used to make clothing within the monastic dwellings; the saṃgha may not divide them for use or consumption, in order to subdue the original owner's greedy mind. Second, forfeiting [property] to enter the saṃgha's use. This refers to the five kinds of bedding and diverted saṃgha property, which may be put to whatever use the saṃgha sees fit; among these, pure black kauśeya may not be worn or used by the saṃgha, but may be used as floor coverings, draft screens, bed curtains, and the like; [robes made without adding white for] six years that have not been patched may not be used as floor coverings, but the saṃgha may wear them, though they may not touch the skin; as for white wool bedding, the fine ones are as the former, and the inferior ones are as the latter. The remainder is identical.
