Fifth, in the miscellaneous evaluations: it is simply because observance and transgression are all-pervading that no single principle can subsume them entirely; thus various categories are cited for broad training, so that one may also roughly know the recourse of observance. As what is explained in this section is vast, it cannot be fully set forth; I merely attempt to list various designations, leaving each to cultivate them on their own: either in terms of specific or general designations, or in terms of error; either following oneself or another, or distinguishing body and speech. Teaching another or doing it oneself each differentiate two types of karma; when multiple persons are commissioned together, the conditions differ but the karma is identical. Examples such as these cannot yet be set forth in full. The intention of this Manual is to be easy to understand and immediately put into practice; since previous treatises are difficult to comprehend and rarely applied, I have provisionally pruned and condensed them.
