Seventh, explaining the collective and separate repentance methods. In the Vinaya, whether knowing the number or not knowing the number, etc., concealed or not concealed, etc., of one name with multiple types, etc., they uniformly use a single karman to repent them. It also states: 'There were bhikṣus who committed multiple saṃghāvaśeṣa offenses, some concealed for one day down to ten days; the Buddha ordered that they collectively repent from the tenth day.' The Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya states: 'Both collective and separate are permissible. For example, on the first day of the month one commits one offense and conceals it, down to the tenth day committing one offense and concealing it; or there is concealment for one night, down to ten nights; one should perform ten rounds of parivāsa, down to a single round of concealment; its six nights, rehabilitation, etc., follow the same pattern.' The Daśādhyāya-vinaya states: 'In repenting saṃghāvaśeṣa, one fully explains the number of offenses committed, as well as the number of days concealed, and so forth.'
