次科，初出古非。前加者，謂在召集之前。亦應上云大德僧聽。《四分》下，準本宗必削。說戒自唱者，即問和簡眾也。若下，依他部可存。三律者，五、十，並同故。既唱已出，故知先遣。

In the next subsection, first it sets forth the error of the ancients. "Adding beforehand" means before the assembly is summoned. It should also say above, "Venerables, let the saṃgha listen." From "*Dharmaguptaka*..." onward, according to our own school it must be excised. "Reciting the precepts makes its own chant" refers to asking about harmony and screening the assembly. From "If..." onward, according to other traditions it may be retained. "The three vinayas" refers to the *Pañcavargika* and *Daśādhyāya*, because they are identical. Since after the chant they go out, we know they are dispatched beforehand.
