開章，標列。對下法附，故言初中。就此五門，初及三四，正明本法；第二第五，以類相從；但分房在前，迦提夏竟。

Opening the chapter and laying out the list. As it corresponds to the subsidiary procedures below, it says "in the first." Within these five headings, the first, third, and fourth directly clarify the fundamental procedure; the second and fifth are grouped by category; however, distributing rooms comes before [the retreat], while the kaṭhina comes after the end of the summer.
