正示中，初文，前列三位。故下，引證。即增三文。疏云：增三，具明前中後也。據時定分，前後一日，中間安居二十九日。

In the direct demonstration: the first text previously lists the three positions. From "therefore..." below, it cites evidence, which is the text of the Anguttara-nikāya (Ekottarika-āgama/Treatise on Increasing by Ones). The Commentary states: "Increasing by Ones fully clarifies the earlier, middle, and later." According to the division of time: the earlier and later are each one day, and the middle retreat consists of twenty-nine days.
