第八門。前門人法並通，此門並局；以人唯二眾，教局行科。然而報相兩殊，故使教分同別；故須辨示，方見諸篇。

The eighth section. The previous section was common to both persons and teachings; this section is restricted in both, because the persons are only the two assemblies [of bhikṣus and bhikṣuṇī], and the teaching is restricted to the categories of practice. However, since the retribution marks are twofold and distinct, this causes the teaching to be divided into common and distinct; thus it must be discriminated and shown, so that the various chapters may be seen.
