時節，含閏中，初明閏四五六月。七月十五日，且約前安居人；中後結者，多隨前坐，故不別標。不依者，謂先結後閏，具如前篇；此即隨竟自恣，不局時節。若下，明閏七月。非前夏，數滿者，此據中後者多；必前多後少，亦隨前作，住待日滿耳。

Under 'Seasons, containing leap months', it first clarifies the leap fourth, fifth, and sixth months. The fifteenth day of the seventh month is tentatively spoken with respect to those observing the earlier retreat; those who establish it midway or later mostly follow the earlier retreatants, so it is not separately indicated. 'Not relying' means first establishing and later having an intercalary month, fully as in the previous chapter; this means performing pravāraṇā upon completion, not restricted by season. From 'If' onward clarifies a leap seventh month. 'Not the earlier summer, the count being full' is spoken based on there being many midway and late [retreatants]; if there are many earlier and few later, they also follow the earlier to perform it, merely staying to wait until their days are fulfilled.
