捨法中。律因六群不出功德衣，以久得五事故捨，故佛因制捨。若不出，過功德衣分齊，突吉羅。

In [the section on] the method of relinquishment: according to the Vinaya, because the group of six [monks] did not remove the kathina robe, wishing to enjoy the five advantages for a long time, the Buddha consequently instituted [the rule of] relinquishment. If one does not remove it when the term of the kathina robe has expired, it is a duṣkṛta.
