正明中，初科。望下〈釋相〉，故云略指。宗即是法，證題不疑。令下，示意。興謂發心，建即立行。識體進行，成因感果，故云有託。如後結文。

In [the section] "Directly Clarifying," there is the first subsection. Looking forward to the chapter "Explaining the Marks," it therefore says "briefly pointing out." The "basis" is the Dharma itself; verifying the title leaves no doubt. From "causing" onward, the intention is shown. "To give rise to" means generating the mind; "to establish" means setting up practice. By knowing the essence and advancing in practice, one accomplishes the cause and induces the fruit; hence it is said "there is something to rely on." This is as in the concluding text below.
