示前後中。文出〈說戒揵度〉。必先設座，後方鳴鐘；疏云：由聲告即集，床座未施，佇待悽惶，非成㢡務；制先定座，良在茲也。

In showing the sequence: the text comes from the "Poṣadha-skandhaka". One must first set out the seats, and only then strike the bell. The Commentary states: "Because they assemble as soon as the sound announces it, if the beds and seats have not yet been arranged, they will wait around in dismay and distress, which does not accomplish an orderly matter; the establishment of determining the seats first is truly for this reason."
