Under saṃgha transactions: the simple jñapti is divided into two. First, indicating the legal transaction; second, showing the name. The textual divisions of the lower two are identical to this. First, three clauses are listed to clarify brevity and essentials, comprehensively gathering thirty-nine transaction-matters. The slight and minor are ten (the twenty-seventh receipt of repentance for niḥsargika-pāyattika, distributing bowls, shaving hair, the ten precepts, the first three of full ordination, receiving the kathina robe, relinquishing the kathina robe, and harmony at an improper time). The regular practices are eleven (posadha has four: regular harmony, settlement of disputes, one increase, two increases; pravāraṇā has five: regular harmony, difficult circumstances, abbreviated, extending the day, one increase, two increases; repentance by the saṃgha, disclosure by the saṃgha). Strict prohibitions are eighteen (surplus speech, vexation; among settlement of disputes there are five: selecting a wise person, sending away one who does not recite the precepts, one who does not study the Vinaya, sending away to relinquish correct views, covering with grass; six jñaptis in the council of five hundred, five jñaptis in the council of seven hundred; the jñapti for distributing salākā is not included in the count, showing that it is not exhaustive).
