In the natural [boundary], it first explains the all-encompassing natural [boundary]. This is the single gathering of Jambudvīpa mentioned above: empty refers to araṇya, occupied refers to settlements, water refers to water boundaries, and land refers to traveling on paths; these four encompass all places, and their marks leave nothing out. Prior to delimitation, they collectively formed a single gathering. "After..." explains the six aspects of the natural [boundary], which is the initial concession. The first three lines recount the conditions for the concession. "Conforming to the environment" refers to the four places above; "demarcated limits" refers to boundary measurements. "Person..." explains the name. Because it does not rely on artificial formulation, it is termed "spontaneous." When it says "the boundary arises," it simply means that wherever the body goes, there are boundary limits; it does not mean that an actual dharma is produced and arises. "Restricting..." indicates the measurements, which can be known.
