總簡中。以前後七法，過相相涉；治法乃殊，故約信行大分二類；〈隨相〉細簡，各別如文。

In the general differentiation: Because the preceding and following seven procedures have fault-marks that overlap with one another, while their disciplinary procedures differ, they are roughly divided into two categories based on faith and conduct. The fine distinctions in [the chapter on] 'Concomitant Marks' are each distinct as found in the text.
