非智辨中，初句領上。人下，斥來問；初牒問責非。若下，順計顯局。既患人力不供，此心即為局屑；事必不足，彼言不虛，故云允矣。

In discerning what is not wisdom, the first sentence acknowledges the above. From "people" onward, it rejects the incoming question: first, taking up the question to reproach its fault. From "if" onward, it follows their reckoning to reveal their narrowness. Since one worries that human effort will not suffice, this mind is already petty and narrow; matters will certainly be insufficient, and their words are not empty, hence it says "truly so!"
