住處中分二，初至德海，明法師如法，前明住處。五人能成邊隅受戒，住持之本，故偏舉之。鳴下，明待客。初下，明修業。若下，次明庇覆破戒。如下，指廣；今在二十八卷。

Under "Dwelling Places," there are two parts: first, up to "sea of virtue," explaining that the Dharma master complies with the Dharma, which previously explained the dwelling place. Five persons are able to accomplish ordination in peripheral regions, which is the foundation of maintaining the Dharma; hence they are singled out. "Ringing..." explains receiving guests. "First..." explains cultivating practice. "If..." next explains harboring those who break the precepts. "As follows..." points to the extensive explanation, which is now in fascicle twenty-eight.
