勸學中，初句勸久學。學師謂稟學於師。次句勸憑正教。何下，明離過。二句語別義同，但上約破斥，下取輕誚。淪猶墮也，嗤即是笑。

Under "Exhorting study," the first phrase exhorts long-term study. "Studying under a master" means receiving instruction from a master. The next phrase exhorts relying on the correct teaching. From "how" onward clarifies avoiding faults. The two phrases differ in words but are identical in sense; the preceding one, however, concerns refutation, while the following one adopts light ridicule. "Sinking" is like falling; "jeering" is just laughing.
