請詞中，初明具儀。如上者，指前《十誦》。旁下，明教導。種種者，應更接前若無此人等語。文下出詞句。準《疏》分五。大德念者，請專意也；為和尚者，明所祈也；願為作者，慈副本望也；我依受具者，三學由生也；慈愍者，已述所懷，惟聽許也。

In the words of request, first it clarifies possessing complete deportment. "As above" refers to the preceding *Daśādhyāya-vinaya*. From "Beside" downward clarifies instructing and guiding. "Various" means one should further continue with the earlier words such as "if there is no such person". From "The text" downward, it sets forth the phrasing. According to the *Commentary*, it is divided into five: "Venerable one, be mindful" is requesting his dedicated attention; "to be my upādhyāya" clarifies what is prayed for; "may you act as such" is [requesting that] his compassion fulfill one's original wish; "I rely upon you to receive the full precepts" is because the three trainings arise from this; "with compassionate pity" means having already expressed what is in one's heart, one solely awaits his permission.
