後請七證，立請中，初標定。以下，示義。言非獨者，《疏》云據成羯磨，合眾齊功，豈獨三師偏受其賜。《十誦》正則者，即上引云：一一禮僧已，然後請之。驗知非局，猶非明文，故云理例。則下，推益。

In subsequently requesting the seven witnesses, under establishing the request: first, it designates and defines [them]. From "Because" downwards, it shows the principle. Regarding "not alone," the Commentary says: "Based on accomplishing the karma, the entire assembly shares equal merit; how could the three masters alone receive all the favor?" The "proper standard of the Daśādhyāya-vinaya" refers to what was quoted above: "Having bowed to the saṃgha one by one, one then requests them." This proves that it is not restricted [to the three]; yet because there is no explicit text, it is called a "principle by analogy." From "Then" downwards, it deduces the benefit.
